Without computers, cell phones and the ubiquitous “cloud”, where would we be? Here at Teton Photo Workshops, we take full advantage of our multiple smart devices and the web’s ability to keep track of where we are, and more importantly where we need to be. Through diligent hard work, copious coffee and a speedy internet connection, we’ve created a new way for photographers to book photo instructional time with Jay Goodrich.

If you’ve spent any time here on Teton Photo Workshops, you know that we offer you access to a number of structured options for workshops, seminars and private educational opportunities here in Jackson and the surrounding Tetons. It is our goal to provide every client with the opportunity to become a better photographer and story teller, and to view their photography with a new perspective. But what if your travel plans don’t coincide with one of our workshop offerings? And your work schedule prevents you from making plans to be involved with one of our many group offerings? Well, we have a solution for you…

Though Jay spends a fair amount of time in other parts of the world photographing, working on assignments or teaching, he always returns home and is available for spur-of-the-moment field work with individuals or small groups of students. If one of our educational opportunities isn’t in the cards, we recommend checking Jay’s calendar and his availability.  From this very page, you can book a custom photo session with Jay himself, and pending availability, one of his assistant instructors. Here’s our PR pitch to local hotels and businesses about this unique photographic opportunity:

“There is much more than stunning scenery in the Jackson, Wyoming area. The meadows and marshes are frequented by moose and elk, bears roam the woods, and deer abound. Ansel Adams captured one of his signature images above a bend in the Snake River with the backlit Tetons looming in the distance.

We can all agree that the natural beauty of the Tetons lends itself to magnificent photography, and what better way to capture amazing images than with an internationally known, locally based photographer. Jay Goodrich has spent years traveling the globe teaching photography workshops, but his heart remains in the Tetons. Booking Jay for a morning or evening custom photo excursion has never been simpler; you can easily do it online or here in the hotel thru the concierge. Check Jay’s availability, pick your date and time, and head out in the field with Jay to create images and write your own story.

Based upon the conditions of the day and your choice of time, Jay will take you to one of his many favorite, less-visited sunrise or sunset locations within Grand Teton National Park where you’ll spend your time in the field during golden light creating dramatic photographs with the help of seasoned professional photographer.

Instead of concentrating on f-stops and equipment, we will work on composition, imagination, and the control of every element in the image. Jay’s goal is to change the way you see and visual photographic expression during our photo workshops in Grand Teton National Park.

Jay will work closely with all participants to ensure they come away with new skills and a tangible experience in the field, as well as inspiration to take their photography to the next level.”

The one thing we’d like you to take away is this: if Jay is in Jackson and you are in or near Jackson, and you want to learn from one of the best photographers and instructors out there, take a look at this calendar and book Jay directly from this page. All of the pricing info is here, as is everything you’ll need to look through your viewfinder with new eyes. We promise, you’ll be glad that you did.
